Another successful 11.11 for Antipodes
We are in jubilant mood at Antipodes HQ following our great success on 11.11 this year. Almost 25,000 people visited our Tmall store on the day.
We stood out among kiwi retailers too. Antipodes had the most buyers in New Zealand skincare, and was ranked ninth for sales across all New Zealand brands. Overall Antipodes has once again stamped itself as the leading New Zealand skincare brand on the Alibaba platforms for the festival.
Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream was the biggest seller throughout the festival, as well as our newest product, Kiwi Seed Gold Luminous Eye Cream, and our ever-popular Moisture-Boost Natural Lipsticks.
The statistics from the festival as a whole are extraordinary. 500 million shoppers made 11.11 purchases on Alibaba this year, spending a billion USD in the first minute of the festival. At peak, there were 544,000 purchases a second.
In New Zealand, 11.11 means Antipodes
We were excited to welcome One News to our new HQ to discover 11.11. The festival is relatively unknown in New Zealand, so the news crew sought our insights and experience to share with viewers.
We were delighted to share what 11.11 means for us. It's the most important working day on our calendar, and over the last five years we have gained a lot of knowledge on how to best showcase our products through the festival, and help China consumers connect with nature.
